I am in Love with my Cedar Chest! I bought this from an elderly lady who only wanted to sell it to a 16 year old girl as she received it as a gift from her father for her 16th Birthday. My husband assured her that we would take good care of it, then she agreed to sell it to us. Wonder what she would think about me painting it Turquoise?? I Love how this turned out with using black glaze over the paint.. Now all my quilty projects are safely tucked away..
Whoa.. So I am actually writing on my blog.. So long story short... Blogger blocked my blog . For over a year I emailed them weekly.. Apparently they said there was inappropriate things on my blog. lol I changed things up.. Deleted many links.. Many posts.. Nothing happened. So I just gave up.. Then for some reason I decided to check to see if it was working... and whala... It appeared. So I chalk it all up as Craft P*rn (don't want to spell it out or my blog may disappear again. So if I have any followers left, I will start posting again soon. Stay tuned.
Here is my Spring Quilt I made!! I love how it turned out! At My Girlfriend's Quilt shop they do Mystery Quilts every few Months. I love doing them & learning so many new techniques. I had to show off my creation for my son's 16th Birthday! Every year I have to come up with something different for his B-day cause he really doesn't like cake... One year he requested Brownies... One year Rice Krispies.. lol Last Year I made him a really yummy Reese's cake thinking he would at least try it & he wouldn't... Oh well it was delish.. So this year I went and bought 2 dozen Donuts (His favorite) and stacked them like a birthday Cake! Doesn't he have the "Mom your crazy" look on his face? He really thought I was funny, but he actually ate a large portion of it! Love my Boy ;) I also wanted to show off my Birthday Table runner I made using Kimberbell creations pattern! So fun to have something special out for the kids Birthday's!!
I just love my little Fabric Carrots I made... My favorite quilt shop sold them in kits to make it super easy! They got the idea & pattern from this! I think I'll make a bunch more to fill a basket up for next year!

Here is my most Favorite quilt so far... I actually had this done in plenty of time to get it up for Valentines Day but the quilter was quite backed up and it took her about a month to quilt it...Uggg So I hurried & binded it just in enough time to put it away for next year... Bummer!! My most favorite part of this quilt is my Hubby's & My initials carved on the tree ;)
There's this great little wood shop in West Haven, Ut called Wood Creations! I have always loved to do wood crafts so when I heard about this place I was all over it ;) I used Cosmo Cricket Scrapbook Paper and I LOVE how it turned out!

I found this cute idea for these Reindeer Thumbprint Ornaments on sassysites & thought they would be perfect to make for the Grandparents Christmas Tree's! I think they turned out so great. Super easy too! All we did was used Acriylic Paint for the Thumbprint & nose & a sharpie pen to draw on the antlers. I printed out vinyl for his name & year!
